Meet our new Head Brewer

Our search for a new head brewer has come to an end and we are elated to welcome John Rankin to our Triple C Brewing family. John, his wife, and three kids are joining us from Tampa. He started his brewing career in the Carolinas at Thomas Creek Brewing in 2010. He began by volunteering at the brewery and soon was a brewer, trained on the job. In late 2013, John moved to Tampa, FL to be closer to his family and started a job as a brewer at Tampa Bay Brewing, Co. By 2015, John was the head production brewer. He grew TBBC from 2,000 barrels a year to nearly 18,000 barrels a year.

When John isn’t working you can find him cheering on ‘Noles or the Tampa Bay Rays with a beer in his hand. We’re glad that John has chosen to join our team and we can’t wait to show him all the great things about Charlotte. We’re sure he will have a great time at our upcoming lake day and wouldn’t be surprised to find him at a Knights game in the future. John and his family are excited to be back in the Carolinas where they have friends all over the two states. Welcome to the Triple C Family, John!
