" Little Hopes is comprised of Atlanta area natives Sydney Rhame and Brock Shanks. Sydney Rhame cut her teeth playing the notorious Eddie’s Attic, selling out the venue several times as an acoustic singer/songwriter before turning 18. After a successful stint on NBC’s “The Voice” at the young age of 16, Sydney was signed to Capitol Records as a pop artist. Brock Shanks is also no stranger to the industry, as the younger brother of famed lead guitarist of Blackberry Smoke. In his early years, Brock spent much of his youth playing guitar in country bands, and getting snuck into bars and American Legions that he was way too young to play. The duet was born out of a love for each other’s music and each other. The blending of Sydney’s powerful melodic vocals with Brock’s Americana singer-songwriter style has created a mesmerizing combination of vivid storytelling, beautiful harmonies and musicianship that can only be earned. Here is one of my favorite songs.
Little Hopes has recently released several new singles and is currently touring to support their upcoming EP. In addition to selling out their own headlining shows, they’ve recently finished a tour with Charlie Starr, of Blackberry Smoke, playing at some of the most famed theaters in the Southeast. Additionally, they have opened the stage for legends such as John Paul White of The Civil Wars, where they earned the attention and accolades of some industry greats.
